a hot, humid day

Hey, we're gonna be a family of four soon.
Everything is mixed-use here in Vietnam.
traffic, I just can't get a picture that does this justice.
Fun!This play equipment is exactly like the new equipment being installed in the parks in Bend.
Hey neighbors, recognize this? Vietnam "spinny park"
Outside the entrance to Thien Quang Lake and Lenin Park(Vladamir Lenin). It is an amusement park and it was very crowded on this International Labor Day holiday. Admission was 2000dong or .12cents each. Our excursion earlier in the day gave us a glimpse into the lives of the "have nots". Here we found the "haves".

The woman standing behind Chris approached us and put her conical hat on my head and moved her "contraption" to my shoulders. It was a light load of pineapple. She insisted that we buy a sliced pineapple for $2.00. We bargained her down to $1.00 for a non-sliced pineapple. She was very unhappy with the sale. We later found out that for $1.00 we (foreigners) should be able to get 5 or 6 pineapples. If we were Vietnamese, $1.00 would buy us pineapple for a week. Why was she so mad? We were the ones who got "taken"!
It was easily 85 degrees and very, very humid...even my hair was curling! This woman did exactly what we were headed back to the hotel to do....lucky us, we have a pool!
